The Hound Hustle 5K Run/Walk is an annual UIndy Homecoming tradition that attracts participants from all over the community. All are welcome to participate—show your UIndy pride by registering to run or cheer on your friends!
The 11th annual Hound Hustle 5K run/walk is on Saturday, September 28, on UIndy’s campus. Participants will also receive a 2024 Hound Hustle T-shirt!

Note: The registration fee is non-refundable; the event will occur rain or shine.
- Anyone is welcome to participate; you do not have to be affiliated with UIndy.
- Strollers are welcome; please start in the back for everyone’s safety.
- One-hour course limit (18 minute/mile pace).
- No dogs allowed
About the Event
The race takes participants on a tour of the beautiful UIndy campus and the University Heights neighborhood. The non-certified course is fast, flat and scenic and highlights our buildings and athletic facilities, including the Athletics & Recreation Center, Roberts Hall, and the UIndy Health Pavilion. The event begins and ends at the Schwitzer Student Center on the UIndy campus. Post-race refreshments will be served outside (weather permitting) or inside the Schwitzer Student Center atrium.

Race-day parking on the UIndy campus is free. Please check the UIndy map for location of parking lots.
